The case studies included in this booklet demonstrate the ways which the Global Research Council participants have promoted, and implemented actions to contribute to women’s equality in research. Most of the actions mentioned in this book aim to raise awareness and create policy frameworks, include dedicated or strategic programs aimed at women and encouraging female leadership, or flexibility due to family or caring responsibilities.

e areas and types of interventions mentioned in these studies reflect trends observed in the lead up to the endorsement of the Statement of Principles and Actions; during the GWG work, and in conversations with GRC participants during annual and regional meetings, especially in the 2018 cycle.
